Please enjoy our site and come back often to learn more about EPI |
Treatment of EPITheoretically, for most dogs, treatment consists of supplementation with digestive enzymes. Your vet should be able to guide you on how much to use, based on the results of the cTLI test. However, as most EPI dog guardians quickly find out, in practice, there is often quite a bit of experimentation involved to get the amount just right, or to find the right food. Most dogs do better on a high quality, low carb (grain free), low fat dog food, rather than the prescription diets often recommended. Many owners cannot stabilize their dogs until switched to a raw diet. | |||||||
